Anna Ferntheil is the maker and owner of Mountain Metal AK. She has been building and creating using a variety of mediums since she was 6. She is formally educated as a civil engineer and brings structural stability and design to her furniture and small projects. Her preferred mediums are wood, steel, and anything recycled. She lives in Girdwood, Alaska and is an active volunteer in several public safety response organizations. In her off time, she enjoys long dog walks, hiking, biking, diving, climbing, and skiing.

These chairs are handmade in Girdwood, Alaska using recycled skis. Most skis are retired from the Alyeska rental shop though a few were personal donations.
